Action Gypsum Acquires Majority Share in ARGOS
Houston, TX – June 8, 2017 – Action Gypsum Supply led by Managing Partners Lenin Juarez and Terri King Peak, announced today it has acquired a majority interest in ARGOS Material Distribution and it’s two locations in Southern California. ARGOS, owned by Al and Tom Jordan, will retain a minority share and continue to manage its operations.
In a joint venture, the two distribution companies successfully opened a branch in Phoenix, AZ earlier this year. Action Gypsum holds the majority interest in that facility as well.

Acquiring the majority interest in ARGOS allows Action to expand its presence further west increasing its locations to 11 total, with 8 in Texas, 1 in Arizona and now 2 in California. As more and more independent distributors throughout the United States become acquired by large corporate entities, this strategic move reinforces both Action and ARGOS’ position as dominant independent players in each of their respective markets.
