Project Details –

(NYSE: SWN) opened 2015 with the move into its new Springwoods Village headquarters near the massive new Exxon Mobil Corp. campus. Southwestern, which originally was an Arkansas company, moved to Houston in 2001 and recently decided to consolidate its Houston-area facilities into a single campus. The new building was designed by the Houston and Austin offices of San Francisco-based architecture firm Gensler. Houston-based Patrinely Group LLC was the developer, and D.E. Harvey Builders was the general contractor. The campus — two 10-story, 515,000-square-foot buildings on 26 acres — comes at a time when Southwestern is betting big on natural gas, buying new acreage and assets, and even increasing its capital expenditures going into 2015 at a time when most oil and gas exploration companies are scaling back because of declining commodities prices.
